Chicken breast in cream cheese sauce baked inside crescent rolls
Flatten chicken breasts. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Bake chicken breasts at 425F° for 20 minutes
While the chicken is baking, add cream cheese, milk, and diced onion to a pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring until it becomes a sauce and the cream cheese fully melts
When the chicken is done, turn the oven down to 350F°. Shred the chicken with two forks. Mix the chicken with the sauce
Place a spoonful of the mixture onto an unrolled crescent roll. Fold up the roll, sealing the sides so no mixture pokes out
Brush the melted butter on top of the closed rolls and sprinkle bread crumbs on top
Bake for 20-25 minutes. The tops should be golden brown when you pull the rolls out
You can substitute chicken thighs for the breasts. I use bone-in. Bake them at 425F° for 40 minutes.
